This news was released a few months ago, but it's definitely worth repeating for those who may not have been aware.
In 1966, Ford entered a handful of GT40 Mk.II race cars into the famous endurance race 24 Hours of Le Mans. In a surprising result, Ford took first, second, and third place, while defeating formidable names like Porsche and Ferrari, that later of which had won the previous six Le Mans races.
Fast forward to today, Ford has announced that they will enter their latest GT race car into the 2016 Le Mans competition, on the 50th anniversary of that historic podium sweep. Check out the exciting video announcement, here:
