As Ford continues to lead the way in innovation, recently the automaker announced a new engine option for the upcoming 2017 F-150 lineup. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 power plant delivers a class-leading 470 pound-feet of torque, more than any truck in its class, and even more than V-8 engines with twice the displacement.

“The 2017 Ford F-150 now delivers the best torque in the segment,” says Raj Nair, Ford executive vice president, Product Development, and chief technical officer. “This class-leading torque arrives with a transformative 10-speed automatic that improves nearly every aspect of F-150 performance.”

With it's more capable powertrain, the 2017 F-150 delivers better acceleration and performance, as well as provides for improved hauling and towing. F-150 is the first and only truck in its category to offer a twin-turbo gasoline option. The 2017 version beings rolling into dealerships across the country this fall.
