As consumers place increasing emphasis on ethics in business, Ford Motor Company continues to maintain its places as one of the most trusted brands, not just in the auto industry, but in the world as well. Last week, Ford issued a press release announcing that Ethisphere Institute has named the automaker to its 2016 list of "World's Most Ethical Companies." Ford has now been named to the list for seven consecutive years and is the only automaker to receive the distinction.

Every year Ethisphere Institute aims to recognize the world's best companies in regards to mandating ethical practices and promoting corporate citizenship. According to a recent Harris Poll Reputation Quotient, more than one-third of respondents will choose to not do business with a company with a negative ethical reputation.

“Ford understands that trust is the cornerstone of everything it does, and their commitment to being an active part of a global community helps explain why they are the only automaker Ethisphere has recognized every year since 2010,” said Timothy Erblich, Ethisphere’s Chief Executive Officer. “Being honored for the seventh time is no small achievement. Congratulations to everyone at Ford for being recognized.”
